Mara Treetops Luxury Camp

Mara Treetops Luxury Camp sits along the Talek River in the center of a handful of key game viewing sites, in the well-known Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Camp offers subtle yet sophisticated luxury, a comfortable and inviting lounge area is the perfect place to unwind after a day on safari. A small bar is well-stocked with friendly staff at the helm and delicious meals are served in the main dining tent, with individual tables set up for guests.

There is a suspension bridge for guests to wander over and gain fantastic views of the river and its visitors. Accommodation is spacious, luxurious and elevated to offer beautiful views of the wilderness or river. Back in camp, guests have the chance to enjoy a selection of spa and massage treatments or browse in the small souvenir shop. The seven luxury tents are decorated in classic soft safari colors with bright splashes of brighter colors depicted in scatter cushions and floor rugs.

Location

Mara Treetops Luxury Camp is located in its own private conservancy, in the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. The nearest airstrip is the Olkiombo Airstrip which can be accessed by a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. The drive back to Mara Treetops is a 2-hour drive, which gives guests a chance to witness wildlife wandering around it. Driving from Nairobi is possible but will take around five hours.

Rooms / Tents

An exclusive safari escape, there are only seven spacious Luxury Tents which comprise either one large king-size bed or two single beds. The decor is luxurious yet classic in style and a small sitting area means guests can spend many hours just sitting, listening and looking out over the surrounding African bush. There is a TV in the room plus an in-room safe, WiFi plus a dedicated butler. The en-suite bathrooms comprise glorious showers, a basin and a toilet.

Game drives are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon with the option of a full-day game drive for guests staying at Mara Treetops Luxury Camp. Absorb the tranquility of the bush when stepping out of your safari vehicle to embark on a bush breakfast or lunch picnic. The open savannah is vast in size, with perhaps a handful of wildlife in the nearby distance. Marvel at how full the night sky is as your afternoon drive spills over into the early evening.

Guests can enjoy a Hot Air Balloon ride while staying at Mara Treetops Luxury Camp and for a non-safari activity, they can pay a visit to a nearby Masai village for a cultural experience.
