Naserian Mara Camp – Lemek Conservancy

Located in the Lemek Conservancy of the Masai Mara, the Naserian Mara Camp is a four-star luxury safari camp with a focus on local materials and decor, and a relaxed vibe felt throughout the camp. The main area comprises a welcoming reception desk situated under a large canvas roof, with a dining area neatly laid out a short distance away.

Guests can choose to enjoy their meals out on the front lawn if they wish then retire to the friendly bar for a nightcap. Perhaps they’d like to retire to the comfortable lounge on simply laid out furniture decorated in beiges and browns and splashes of red, all complimenting the wooden floor that runs throughout.

There is an outside fire pit where stories of a day on safari can be shared with other guests and cement seating is built outside with scattered cushions for comfort. There is a large swimming pool built in a garden-like setting opening up to the surrounding savannah. Spa treatments are available for guests looking to unwind and relax and guests can visit the small craft shop for souvenirs and gifts. 11 luxury suites are spacious and beautifully decorated, offering a haven in the wilderness for all guests. The camp is 100% carbon neutral, with the conservation and preservation of the ecosystem a key focus.

Location

The Naserian Mara Camp is located in the Masai Mara Game Reserve’s northern sector, in the Lemek Conservancy. The camp lies 35 miles from the Naboisho Conservancy and close to the Olare Orok Conservancy. Flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport will take approximately 30 minutes and from here guests are transferred to the camp. The distance from Nairobi is 150 miles and the journey will take approximately five hours.

Rooms / Tents

There are 11 luxury tents that are raised on wooden platforms, a beautiful private deck offering a chance to sit and listen to the sounds of the surrounding bush. Each tent has a fireplace that is lit in the evening, offering both warmth and an intimate ambiance to the tents and a small sitting area and desk is set up inside.

Standard tents can be set up with a King bed or two Double beds for a twin stay with a family tent providing space for a Double plus two Single beds. The tents are en-suite with shower, vanity and toilet. The executive tents have a King-size bed, a separate dressing room and a bathroom with a sunken bath. The honeymoon suite has a King-size bed and sunken bathtub, beautifully set up for the ultimate romantic experience.

Places Of Interest

Guests can enjoy game drives in the Masai Mara in the early morning and late afternoon, the bush coming alive before sunrise and gently gearing up for nocturnal animal adventures after sunset. Experienced safari rangers will take guests on guided walks through the wilderness while adventure-seekers may wish to embark on a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara.

Boat cruises on the Mara River, outstanding birdwatching drives and walks are other activities guests can enjoy during their stay. A visit to a nearby Masai cultural village will give guests an insight into the lives and traditions of the local Masai tribes.
