Eagle View Safari Camp Masai Mara

Embrace sustainable tourism with the innovative and minimalistically-designed Eagle View Camp. High on National Geographic’s list of top eco-friendly lodges, Eagle View Camp stands elevated above the plains of the Koiyaki in the Mara’s Naboisho Conservancy, commanding breathtaking views as far as the eye can see.

Enjoy meals in the raised dining area which presents the chance to spot animals at the nearby natural waterhole and experience a bush dinner where local ingredients create delectable dishes, complemented by fine wines and accompanied by traditional Masai music and dance.

Enjoy open-vehicle game drives in a region that is rich with elephant, giraffe, wildebeest and more, or venture out on a walking safari with an eco-conscious guide. The camp has 9 luxury tented suites which offer private decks positioned above the ground, sparsely situated to offer ultimate privacy in the Kenyan bush while the lounge area invites you to rest a while next to a crackling fire. Lodges in this region work closely with communities and the Masai hospitality is most definitely experienced at Eagle View Camp.

Location

Eagle View Camp lies in the highly popular Naboisho Conservancy, a 50,000 acre area contained in the Greater Mara Region. Adjacent to the famous Masai Mara National Park, this area is rich with game and a leader in conservation of both wildlife and land, in Kenya. Visitor numbers are limited in the conservancy, promoting a sense of exclusivity and serenity for all who choose to safari here and this exclusivity can be felt throughout your stay. The camp overlooks a natural waterhole which is frequented by animals, day and night.

Rooms / Tents

All 9 luxury tents have large decks or terraces with views that stretch on seemingly for miles.

Bathrooms are en-suite with the option of indoor or outdoor showers and bio-flush toilets, keeping in line with the sustainable tourism the camp adheres to.

Canvas walls and roof cover the sleeping space and hang over the private deck, while fresh linens are complemented by throws and cushions representing the colors of the Masai tribe.

Bedding can be set as king, double or twin and children aged 7-12 years of age can share with 2 adults at 50% of the rate.

Game Viewing / Activities

The Naboisho Conservancy is infamous for its incredible number of lion and elephant, and is home to the elusive wild dog. Game viewing is top quality in this region due to strict conservancy rules, with early morning and late afternoon game drives seeming private with very few vehicles in the area. Game drives are conducted in 4×4 vehicles with stops at strategic points for a morning coffee or sunset refreshment, all the while aware of the wildlife scattered nearby.

Walking safaris are popular at Eagle View Camp with highly qualified guides on alert for the slightest of movements around you while they educate you on the flora and fauna you are walking by.

Eagle View Camp offers night drives which affords visitors the opportunity to see nocturnal favorites such as civit, porcupines, white-tailed mongoose and leopard. The thrill of simply being under a deep African sky with the sound of the bush to entertain you, is reason enough to enjoy a night drive.
