&Beyond Kichwa Tembo Camp

The ultimate in pure luxury camping…or ‘glamping’, &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp is a five-star safari experience set along the Saparingo River in the well-known Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is located in a position that offers sweeping views across the savannah as well as the captivating Oloololo Escarpment in the distance. The location provides guests with a glamorous and relaxing stay after game drives and other activities. Guests can unwind in the spacious split-level public areas which open up to the surrounding wilderness and are complemented by an infinity swimming pool with dramatic views far and wide.

Meals are created with fresh, organic ingredients with the kitchen open for guests to interact if they wish. For those guests wishing to unwind even further, the massage tent is the perfect place to spend a couple of hours during your day. Location

Found on the western border of the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Camp sits on the banks of the Saparingo River and has wonderful views of the Oloololo Escarpment. There are two flights a day out of Nairobi’s Wilson Airport which takes around one hour to land at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip, located a 30-minute transfer to the camp. Guests can fly in from Mombasa which will take around two hours. For those guests who prefer to drive, they will take a road transfer of five hours in an air-conditioned 4×4 vehicle.

Rooms / Tents

All 40 spacious canvas tents at &Beyond Kichwa Tembo Camp are set on a raised deck, with Queen Bedding or Twin Options, the light colors of the wooden floors and beams, made from local materials, blending in perfectly with the surrounding bush. The decor is soft with a subtle hint of color present in either artwork or bedding. All tents have electricity and heating, there is an in-room safe and complimentary WiFi. There is a desk and a separate sitting area with a minibar and tea & coffee makers.

There are 12 Classic Tents and 20 Superior Tents nestled within the wilderness, the en-suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower, complimentary slippers and bathrobes. The eight Superior View Tents offer a Queen Bed, bathroom with shower, complimentary slippers & bathrobes, and spectacular views over the Reserve. Three of these tents can be converted into Family Tents.
