Location

Mara Bush Camp is situated on the banks of the Olare Orok River in the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Getting there from Nairobi will take around one hour from Wilson Airport while traveling from Mombasa is a two-and-a-half-hour flight. Guests will fly into the Ol Kiombo Airstrip and then transfer a short 10-minute drive to the camp. The drive from Nairobi can take between 6 and 7 hours passing through the Great Rift Valley.

Rooms / Tents

The 12 beautifully-positioned raised canvas tents at Mara Bush Camp are nestled among trees and wilderness to offer an intimate and classic safari stay. There are 10 luxury tents, equipped with King Size or Twin Beds, covered in mosquito netting and offering a large deck with a small sitting area. There are two family suites with space for two single beds to be put in the tent, with the same amenities included during their stay. All tents comprise an en-suite bathroom with a shower and washbasin, toilet and necessary amenities.

Places Of Interest

Daily game drives are the highlight of being in this area, with an early morning and late afternoon drive offering guests an opportunity to seek a myriad of wildlife to encounter. The beautiful African savannah offers a welcome slower pace to your normal day-to-day routine. Guided walks are possible, and bird watching is amazing with over 400 species of birds to see. Take to the skies in a hot air balloon for an aerial view over the magnificent Masai Mara. Then visit a local village to gain an understanding of Masai tradition and learn about the cultural habits and tales of ancestors as you wander through the village.
