Fig Tree Camp

Fig Tree Camp

A true five-star luxury safari camp, Fig Tree Camp is located in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, on the banks of the thriving Talek River. The main area is under a thatch roof, offering a large and inviting dining area. Guests have the option to dine on an outside deck, overlooking the wilderness before you. There is a comfortable lounge and bar area and plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax.

The camp’s swimming pool is set within an attractive paved area, and chaise lounges are available for guests to chill and unwind. There are massage treatments available and a souvenir shop, with the ultimate highlight of the camp notably the camp’s unique coffee tree house. On some evenings, guests can enjoy a barbeque dinner and then gather around a campfire pit to exchange tales of the day.

Location

Fig Tree Camp is located in the northern region of the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, a six-mile drive away from the Olkiombo Airstrip. Guests will fly in from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, a flight that will take approximately 45 minutes, a much shorter journey than the long, five-hour drive from the country’s capital city.

Rooms / Tents

Fig Tree Camp comprises 48 Tents and 32 Chalets, all offering a private verandah with classic Kenyan decor and all privately set among the camp’s grounds. 38 Safari Tents offer double beds or two single beds while the 10 Superior Tents are fitted with a king-size bed.

The 32 Chalets all have either a double bed or two single beds, depending on the number of guests. Each accommodation has mosquito netting over the beds and is equipped with a small sitting area and soft white and beige colours in the decor. The accommodation is all en-suite including a shower, sink and toilet and handy amenities.
