Mara River Camp lies just 10 minutes near the famous Mara River, a key location for the Great Migration crossing between Tanzania and Kenya, with animals present throughout the year. The Camp offers a luxury wilderness escape inspired by its natural surroundings, exquisite African design, and decor in the dining area, lounge, and bar.
There is a wonderful deck that wraps around the front of the main area, seating providing the opportunity for clients to look out over the wonderful savannah where animals can roam throughout the day. There is a nightly campfire where guests can gather and share stories of their day of wildlife watching. The accommodation is laid out around the main area, each chalet tastefully decorated and offering privacy and comfort.
Location
The Serengeti Mara River Camp is located near the Mara River in the Kogatende region of the Serengeti National Park. The flight from Arusha is an hour and if clients prefer to drive, that will take between six and seven hours.
Rooms / Tents
The stone-walled and thatch-roofed accommodations found at the Serengeti Mara River Camp are simply stunning in design and layout and can be configured into Double Tents and Twin Tents. Beds have crisp, white linen bedding with African-inspired textiles at the bottom of the bed, with mosquito nets.
Each tent has a writing desk, water station, and radio communication. The tents are all en-suite and have a double vanity, flush toilet, and shower with bathroom amenities for guests to use. Guests can take a refreshing shower outdoors with the privately set up rainshower offering a view out over the plains, then wrap up in a plush bathrobe.
