Baobab Sea Lodge

The Baobab Sea Lodge is a wonderful four-star hotel set in a tropical garden and private setting in front of the white sandy beaches of Kilifi, along Kenya’s east coast. There are 30 tastefully decorated rooms with a balcony offering views over the pool or the garden while the main area offers a comfortable sitting area with a friendly bar. There is a large swimming pool located in the gardens with a pool bar, and the Indian Ocean is just a short distance away.

Meals are enjoyed in the Lodge’s large restaurant, colorful table settings with high, thatch ceilings, serving outstanding dishes comprising local and international cuisine. There is a conference room, massage options for those looking for that extra pampering, and a fitness center for more active guests. There is a gift shop for guests to find that last-minute souvenir.

The Baobab Sea Lodge is located off Bofa Road, Mnarani in the Kilifi region of Kenya’s east coastline. The distance to Mombasa’s Moi International Airport is 48 miles while Malindi Airport is 33 miles away and Vipingo Airport is 16 miles from the Lodge.

Rooms / Tents

30 beautifully appointed rooms are located at the Baobab Sea Lodge, dark floors and wooden ceiling beams contrast the fresh linens and white ceiling fans. The Superior Rooms are 270 sq feet and have an extra-large double bed, a sitting area, and a balcony with garden views. The Deluxe Room is 400 sq feet and has an extra-large double bed, a sitting area, and a balcony with views over the swimming pool.

Each room has mosquito nets over the beds, includes air-conditioning plus a ceiling fan in the Superior Rooms, a desk and chair as well as a safe for guests to store their valuables. There are tea/coffee-making facilities, a mini-bar, a clothing cupboard with WiFi, and a television. The bathrooms are en-suite with a shower, a toilet, and bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.

Guests staying at Baobab Sea Lodge can enjoy the many water sports on offer during their stay. Take a turn at windsurfing, go scuba diving, or spend time snorkeling some wonderful reefs. There is the chance to enjoy some big game fishing or perhaps enjoy the Watamu Marine Park located 16 miles away. Back at the Lodge, guests can enjoy volleyball, table tennis, a game of darts, or good, old-fashioned tennis.
