Tortilis Camp

Located just outside Kenya’s Amboseli National Park lies the five-star, eco-focused Tortilis Camp.

Location

Tortilis Camp is situated in the Kitirua Conservancy of the Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s flagship safari destinations, located in the country’s south.
The Amboseli Airstrip is a 45-minute ‘game-view’ drive away from the Camp with flights arriving from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport,
a journey of around 45 minutes.
Driving from Nairobi will take approximately four and a half hours, a journey of around 130 miles.

Rooms / Tents

16 exquisitely-created Luxury Tents are located at Tortilis Camp, the canvas walls and ceilings set under a Makuti-reeded roof
or covered and decorated in brilliant colors that compliment the dark, polished wooden flooring.
Bedding can be made up into a double or twin with the one Family Tent comprising a double en-suite bedroom and a twin en-suite bedroom.
A private pool can be enjoyed by guests staying here. The same setup can be found within the one Private House.

A beautiful sitting area and writing desk are present with the en-suite bathrooms separated by a simple wall.
Bathrooms have a bathtub and a shower plus a vanity and toilet, with amenities for guests to use during their stay.
Bathrobes and slippers are plush and comforting to roam around in the spacious rooms.

Game Viewing / Activities

Tortilis Camp is located nine miles from the incredible Amboseli National Park,
so early morning and late afternoon game drives are enjoyed by guests staying at the luxury Camp.
Visitors can also enjoy a guided bush walk, their local guide introducing them to the intricate details of one of Kenya’s favorite Parks,
as well as the local area around Tortilis Camp.

Bird watching is incredible in the area and guests can stand on Observation Hill and gaze out over the vast plains and hilly regions of the Amboseli Game Reserve,
glancing over at magical Mount Kilimanjaro every now and then.
Cultural village visits are available to guests, as well as a visit to the Olengaiya Swamp Enclosure to learn about the sustainable rotational elephant grazing project.
