Bordering Tanzania, the Amboseli National Park lies in southern Kenya, commanding views of Mt Kilimanjaro and home to a selection of incredible safari accommodations
within its fences and just outside.

Tawi Lodge is one luxurious option for any safari-goer to consider when looking to stay in this region.
The Lodge is set on a private conservancy a short drive to Amboseli, offering an intimate experience immersed in wilderness and wildlife.
The main area comprises a small reception area with a lounge complete with a fireplace and a dining area boasting tall, thatched ceilings.
The bar is set in a cozy corner and if guests head upstairs, they can enjoy a nightcap or early morning coffee in a second small sitting area
which boasts a viewing deck, overlooking the Lodge’s gardens.

There is an inviting swimming pool that is lit up at night, set in stone paving offering the perfect place to unwind in between safari experiences.
From the pool, sunbeds provide a comfortable viewing point over a waterhole laid out below the Lodge.
Accommodation comprises 13 luxury stone rooms, large and comfortable with an impressive en-suite bathroom.
One of the absolute highlights for guests staying at Tawi Lodge has to be that early morning, pre-game drive coffee on their private porch,
gazing out at the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Guests can enjoy massages and spa treatments and find the perfect gift in the little souvenir shop.

Location

Located just 15 minutes away from Kimana Gate at Amboseli National Park, Tawi Lodge is set in the private Tawi Kilitome Conservancy.
The Amboseli Airstrip is the closest arrival point to Tawi Lodge with flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, a 30-minute flight.
Guests will then embark on a one-hour transfer to Tawi Lodge. Driving from Nairobi will take around four hours.

Rooms / Tents

The 13 luxury lodge-style rooms at Tawi Lodge are privately laid out, all offering incredible views of the famous Mt Kilimanjaro
which lies beyond the border of Tanzania.
Each tent is spacious and beautifully decorated with dark wooden four-poster beds set upon gorgeous dark wooden floors with canvas walls and a tall thatch ceiling.

The rooms can be made up as either Double or Twin-bedded. There is a ‘chest’ to lock away valuables.
The rooms come equipped with a fireplace and the gorgeous, large en-suite bathrooms have a wonderful shower and bathtub,
with twin sinks and a toilet. There are bathroom amenities available for guests to use and bathrobes and slippers for guests’ comfort.

Game Viewing / Activities

Guests have the option of enjoying early morning and late afternoon game drives within the Amboseli National Park
and then enjoy the unique experience of a night drive in the Tawi Kilitome Conservancy.
Visitors can capture the wonders of Amboseli, both landscape and incredible wildlife, then witness aardvarks and porcupines
wandering in the silence of the dark night within the conservancy.

Guided bush walks and bird-watching adventures are on offer to those who choose to stay at Tawi Lodge.
Guests can enjoy a visit to a Maasai village, learn about tradition and culture and have views from Amboseli of the volcano Chyulu Hills.
