SAMBURU INTREPIDS TENTED CAMP
SAMBURU INTREPIDS TENTED CAMP
An ideal setting amid river breezes and leafy forested wilderness, the Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp offers a classic African luxurious stay in one of Kenya’s key safari locations. A tranquil pool invites guests to relax in between game drives, the cool colors complimenting the dark wooden beams of the dining and lounge areas of the main camp area. The bar offers a cozy place to unwind as well as offering views over the Samburu landscape.
Spa treatments are offered at Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp and there is a Kid’s Adventure Program which teaches young safari-goers life skills such as how to start a fire with sticks and how to track wildlife.
Location
The Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp is located on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, within Kenya’s Samburu Game Reserve. Guests can fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport on a 30-minute flight to the Samburu Airstrip. Guests are then transferred to the Camp which will take around one hour. If visitors want to drive from Nairobi, the journey will take around five or six hours.
Rooms / Tents
There are 28 large and luxury thatched tents all overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, each beautiful tent offering a private, furnished verandah commanding relaxing views and the opportunity to see animals coming down to the river to drink. The bedding can be configured into Double or Twin beds and the family tent has two bedrooms, both en-suite with one of the rooms fitted with a King bed and the other with Two Singles. A large lounge area connects the two bedrooms, both opening up onto the spacious verandah.
Each tent offers a mosquito net over the wooden poster beds, and crisp linens decorated with colorful blankets and pillows. There is a comfortable sitting area, soft lighting, a writing desk, and charging points. Plenty of space to hang clothing, a robe, and slippers plus air conditioning round up the amenities in the tents. Bathrooms are en-suite with showers, sink, and toilet plus amenities for guests’ use while staying at Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp.
