Samburu Sopa Lodge

Samburu Sopa Lodge

Samburu Sopa Lodge lies on elevated land within the Samburu National Park, located in Northern Kenya. Designed with local Samburu community influences, the lodge commands views across shrubland and distant hills with animals given space to roam freely between the main area and cottages. Accommodation is set out in a semicircle, facing a waterhole frequented by wildlife. A panoramic view is enjoyed from the high-ceiling lounge and the bar located to the back of the lounge as it’s open to the wilderness around it.

The slightly raised dining area serves meals created with fresh garden ingredients displayed on traditionally designed buffet tables. The swimming pool is large and inviting with an adjoining children’s pool and wide, stone bathing area for guests to enjoy. Views over the waterhole are possible from the outdoor shower and sunken bar, creating the perfect place to unwind. Bush dinners, sundowners with canapés, and traditional dances are just a few of the extras guests can enjoy during their stay.

Location

Samburu National Park is located five hours north by road from Nairobi, with the Samburu Sopa Lodge situated 13 miles from a rural town known as Archer’s Post. If guests wish to fly from Nairobi, the flight will take 90 minutes from Wilson Airport.
