Acacia Farm Lodge

The Acacia Farm Lodge is located on an active coffee plantation and mixed farm and offers a home-away-from-home feel among its picturesque design and breathtaking location. The Lodge lies in the Karatu area, close to both Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, offering exceptional game viewing and incredible scenery.

The lodge’s main area comprises a lounge with comfortable sofas and a spacious dining area where delicious meals are served by talented chefs highlighting local fare. The bar is neatly set up in the main area, with a full complement of drinks on offer to guests.

There is a coffee shop and a well-equipped fitness center as well as a spa offering a selection of massages and treatments for guests. There is a forty-seater conference room and small business center, and for guests wanting to unwind and escape the heat of the day, the inviting swimming pool is the perfect place to be. There are a few wonderful viewing points where guests can gaze over the property grounds at sunset, and at the end of their stay, guests can take some time to browse the gift shop in search of that perfect souvenir.

Location

The Acacia Farm Lodge is located on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley in Karatu, nestled amid farmlands and coffee plantations. A flight from Arusha to Lake Manyara will take approximately 25 minutes and from here, guests are driven to the Lodge, a journey of approximately half an hour. If guests prefer to drive from Arusha, that will take approximately two hours and fifteen minutes.

Rooms / Tents

The Acacia Farm Lodge comprises 32 rooms located in Luxury Cottages, with two interconnecting cottages making up a family unit. Each room is 570 sq feet in size and has a king-size bed in it or two single beds to make a twin room.

The rooms have terracotta tiled floors, cream walls and brown drapes, with mosquito netting over the beds and a splash of light color on the headboards. There is a small desk and chair in the room and each room has a safe for guests to store valuables, air-conditioning, a mini-bar, tea/coffee-making station, a television, and a space to hang clothes. Room service is on offer and guests have access to WiFi during their stay.

Amenities

Guests at Acacia Farm Lodge will enjoy access to a variety of modern amenities including a main dining area, lounge, bar, and a swimming pool. There is a small business center, coffee shop, and a gift shop for souvenirs. WiFi is available throughout the property, and guests can use the small meeting room for business needs. Barbeque facilities and picnic areas provide relaxing options for dining, while the spa and fitness center/gym ensure wellness and rejuvenation during the stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

The main activities for guests staying at Acacia Farm Lodge include game drives in either the Lake Manyara National Park or the Ngorongoro Crater. A full day of safari adventure with a packed picnic lunch allows guests to witness incredible wildlife in magnificent surroundings.

Guests can enjoy a tour of the farm if they wish and take some time out to enjoy bird watching on the grounds. Mountain bikes are available for use, and guests can enjoy a hike to the Endoro Elephanta Caves or a visit to a nearby Maasai community or Maasai market.
