Ngorongoro Farm House

Set on a coffee plantation and surrounded by farmland, the Ngorongoro Farm House is a 52-roomed establishment that offers a warm welcome and a truly comfortable stay a short distance from the famous Ngorongoro Crater. The central area of the House contains the reception area, a dining room, and a large deck where meals can be enjoyed if preferred. The accommodation is set in two separate areas, each comprising a comfortable lounge where guests can relax in between activities and excursions.

Guests can laze next to the glistening swimming pool or indulge in a spa treatment during their stay. Perhaps a guided walk through the coffee plantation is of interest, and a visit to a Maasai cultural village is another popular excursion for guests to enjoy. There is a small gift shop and guests can enjoy a game of croquet or even volleyball to pass the time in between safaris. If work cannot be separated from pleasure, there is a small business meeting room available to guests.

Location

Ngorongoro Farm House is located just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an approximate three-hour drive from Arusha. Guests can fly from Arusha Airport to the Lake Manyara Airstrip which is a 30-minute flight, and from here, guests will be transferred by road to the Farm House, a journey of approximately 40 minutes.

Rooms / Tents

The 52 spacious rooms and suites are located in two buildings, set apart on the grounds of the Ngorongoro Farm House. Each area has its own lounge and bar, and an outside sitting area for guests to enjoy.

There are Standard Rooms that can be set up with a king-size bed, twin beds, or three single beds to make a triple-share room. The Suites have a king-size bed with a separate sitting area and a fireplace in the room. There is a verandah attached to each accommodation type where guests can sit and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of their surroundings.

Every room and suite is equipped with a mini-bar, a safe to store valuables, a writing desk and chair, as well as a tea/coffee-making station, a fan, and a wardrobe to store clothing. There is WiFi and room service on offer to guests.

All accommodation is en-suite with bathrooms comprising a vanity, toilet, and shower with a double-vanity set up in the suites. Guests can use bathroom amenities during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

Guests staying at the Ngorongoro Farm House will enjoy a game drive in the famous Ngorongoro Crater, which is located around one hour and twenty minutes away. They can also spend time enjoying the splash of pink from the flamingos at Lake Manyara, only 25 miles away.

A visit to the Olduvai Gorge is a treat, a journey of 90 minutes from the Farm House, and for a cultural experience, visiting and experiencing a day in the life of a local Maasai community is truly inspiring. Bird watching and a walk around the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are also popular, and guests can learn all about coffee growing with an amble around the farm itself.
