Day 1 – Arrival & Drive to Volcanoes National Park (115kms / 2hrs)

Upon your morning or lunchtime arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your Driver Guide from
Adventure In The Wild Safaris who will brief you on your Rwanda experience. Your Kigali City Tour
begins with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, followed by a quick lunch in the city
centre. Later, enjoy a visit to the Caplaki Crafts Market for a taste of Rwanda’s local art and souvenirs.

In the afternoon, you will embark on a 2-hour scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park located in the
northern part of Rwanda. On arrival, you will check in to your accommodation.

• Mid-Range: Mountain Gorilla View Lodge (FB)
• High-End: Virunga Lodge (AI)

Day 2 – Rwanda Gorilla Tracking (Gorilla Viewing Time – 1hr)

After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a once-in-a-lifetime experience –
Gorilla Tracking. The hike through the lush montane forest on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes
is magical. Once the gorillas are located, you are allowed one unforgettable hour with them – observing, photographing,
and connecting with these magnificent primates.

You may request a specific gorilla family to track depending on your fitness level and preferred trekking duration,
subject to availability. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon, you will drive back to Kigali (115kms / approx. 2hrs) for your evening departure flight, concluding
your memorable gorilla trekking safari with Adventure In The Wild Safaris.
