Day 1: Early Takeoff from Zanzibar

We’ll pick you up from your hotel or resort in Zanzibar and transfer you to the airport. Your flight departs at 8:00 am, offering scenic aerial views over the Indian Ocean and mainland Tanzania.

Upon landing at a Serengeti airstrip, your Adventure In The Wild Safaris guide will greet you and escort you in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser Safari Jeep to your lodge or tented camp. After lunch, we set off on our first thrilling game drive across the vast Serengeti.

Day 2: A Natural Wonder of Africa

Welcome to the Serengeti — a land teeming with wildlife. With over 3,000 lions and 5,000 elephants, the Serengeti hosts some of the world’s highest densities of wild animals. During the migration season, you’ll witness thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles journeying across the plains.

Throughout the day, your guide will help you spot predators like cheetahs, jackals, and wild dogs, as well as herbivores such as buffalo, hartebeest, and more. Hippos and crocodiles can also be seen lounging in rivers and marshes, while baboons and monkeys occupy the trees.

Day 3: Return to Zanzibar

After breakfast, we’ll head to the airstrip for your late morning flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, an Adventure In The Wild Safaris driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel or resort.

You’ll return with amazing photos, incredible stories, and lifelong memories of your Serengeti experience.

3-Day Serengeti Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Zanzibar – Serengeti

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Bags all packed? Your Adventure In The Wild Safaris driver will pick you up from your hotel or resort and transfer you to Abeid Karume International Airport. Your flight to the Serengeti departs at 8:00 am and will have you landing near the park at approximately 11:00 am.

Day 2: Full Day at Serengeti National Park

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

You’ve got a full day of game drives ahead as we journey through the diverse ecosystems of the Serengeti — from vast savannahs and sweeping plains to lush forests and marshlands.

Each habitat supports unique wildlife. On the park’s expansive plains, wildebeests can be seen in massive numbers during their migration (December through May). In the forested river regions, expect sightings of monkeys, baboons, hippos, and crocodiles.

Over 500 colorful bird species call the Serengeti home, including the African fish eagle, ostrich, Kori bustard, vultures, and vibrant weavers.

The northern Serengeti is a great place to find elephants, giraffes, and some of the park’s 53,000 Cape buffalo. Expect a thrilling day full of wildlife sightings, photographic moments, and unforgettable experiences.

Day 3: Serengeti – Zanzibar

Flight Duration: 2 ¾ Hours

Before we say goodbye to the Serengeti, we’ll head out for one last morning game drive. Perhaps we’ll find elusive rhinos, cheeky warthogs, or even a lion camouflaged in the tall grasses.

Afterwards, we return to the airstrip for our 11:30 am flight. By 14:15 hrs (2:15 pm), you’ll be back on Zanzibar’s stunning coastline — recharged with memories from your Serengeti adventure.
