Soi Safari Lodge

Soi Safari Lodge is a 4-star-rated lodge situated on the banks of Lake Baringo. Surrounded by lush gardens and indigenous trees, guests get to stay in a tranquil space offering excellent views of the Lake and Rift Valley Escarpment. The main lodge area comprises stone flooring and high, thatched ceilings, decor, and furniture representative of classic African materials and decor.

Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge area, enjoy a drink from the bar, and savor meals served in the bright dining area. The swimming pool is large, perfect to get in some exercise or simply sit and absorb the African sun in between activities. Business travelers can use the onsite conference facilities or leisure guests can enjoy being pampered at the Lodge’s Spa.

Location

Soi Safari Lodge is located near Lake Baringo in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley area. The lodge is a convenient 170-mile drive which should take around one and a half hours from Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi.

Rooms / Tents

The Soi Safari Lodge comprises 86 rooms, all equipped with a private balcony with views over the beautiful gardens, distant lakes, and mountain views. There are 74 Standard Rooms, six Deluxe Rooms, and two Family Rooms. Four of the rooms are wheelchair-accessible. All rooms have tiled floors and bedding is covered with colorful bedspreads to contrast the browns and beige of the beds and walls.

All rooms offer WiFi, flat-screen TVs, space to store clothing, and air conditioning. There is a small sitting area for guests’ comfort, too. All rooms are en-suite with a bath with overhead shower, toilet, and basin, and guests have use of a bathrobe and slippers during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

With Hell’s Gate National Park located 20 minutes away from Soi Safari Lodge, game drives are offered to guests staying at the Lodge. Boat safaris are an excellent way to see exquisite birdlife, hippos bobbing in the Lake, and crocodiles along the shores.

Visitors can enjoy bush walks and discover nature trails, getting up close and personal with wilderness wonder. There are hiking opportunities in the surrounding hills and watersports for those looking for a little more adventure.
