Hotel Riu Jambo

A classic resort-style accommodation, Hotel Riu Jambo stands out as a top destination for families and those visitors looking for a larger Zanzibar beach hotel experience. Location

Hotel Riu Jambo cannot be missed when wandering Zanzibar’s Northwest beachfront. The white-washed building is located on popular Nyungwe Beach, a 90-minute drive from Stonetown and the Zanzibar Airport. Guests will fly in on international flights or from the region.

Rooms / Tents

There are three categories of accommodation on offer at Hotel Riu Jambo, a Standard Room, Superior and Family. Standard Rooms have either a Double bed or Twins and a small balcony or terrace. There are Standard Rooms with partial sea views or full sea views and the same amenities as the other Standard rooms. These include a mini fridge, a safe, a kettle and air conditioning.

The Superior Rooms are larger with a comfortable sitting area and the same amenities as the Standard Rooms, a larger balcony and space in the sitting area for a sofa bed. All decor is neutral in color with throws and pillows in browns and beiges. All bathrooms are en-suite with a toilet, vanity and shower.

Game Viewing / Activities

There is so much to do both in the grounds of Hotel Riu Jambo and out on the beach or in the Indian Ocean. Guests can enjoy the gym, volleyball, a steam bath and scuba lessons in one of the hotel’s swimming pools. Activities on the water include kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and pedalos. There are scuba diving excursions and snorkeling to outer islands that are very memorable. Watching the sunset from a wooden Dhow is the perfect way to end a day in Zanzibar.
