Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar

The Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar is set upon the white sandy beaches of Nyungwe Beach, an adults-only escape set in a large garden, in a truly idyllic destination. The main area comprises a large restaurant serving buffet breakfasts and dinner, with Pepe’s a wonderful place to enjoy lunch. Fusion-themed food is served at Krystal restaurant, a steakhouse and fish restaurant with a romantic open-air theme while nearby Riu Jambo, guests are invited to reserve a table at either Kulinarium or the Italian a la carte restaurant. There is a comfortable sitting area and wonderful bar where guests can enjoy refreshments throughout the day.

Accommodation comprises three glistening swimming pools that invite guests to unwind and soak up the African sun, while spa treatments and steam baths are on the relaxation menu. Entertainment includes live shows and music and there is an array of games one can enjoy and activities such as kayaking, paddle surfing and snorkeling.

Location

The Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar is located on Nyungwe Beach on Zanzibar’s Northwest coast. Guests will fly into Zanzibar airport on either an international flight or regional connection and transfer 90 minutes to the hotel.

Rooms / Tents

There are seven room types at the Hotel Riu Palace Zanzibar, from courtyard views to beach villas and ocean suites. The Jnr Suite Courtyard View rooms have a queen bed, a lounge area and a balcony. The rooms have a mini-bar in the room, a safe, air conditioning and complimentary WiFi. The Beach Villa has a King size bed and a terrace with a private swimming pool. The Superior Ocean Suites and Beach Villas are spacious and have a large sitting area as well as all amenities as present in the other room-types mentioned, and beds are beautiful four-posters with mosquito netting. Jnr Suites are spacious with a four-poster King bed, a sitting area, and the bathroom has a hydromassage bathtub for that added luxury. The Suites are magnificent while the Jacuzzi Suite a treat for those really seeking ultimate luxury. Decor in all rooms include Zanzibar-themed mirrors, a mix of pale and dark walls and beiges, browns and black in the bedding.
