Elewana Migration Camp

The Elewana Migration Camp is an elegant Camp located at the starting point of the great migration, nestled in rocky outcrops in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. The views are stunning over bushy plains, a chilled atmosphere most definitely the theme throughout. The main tent has a dining area, tables set up with red table cloths and boasting a tall, canvas ceiling. Guests can choose to dine in the main tent or al-fresco under the African sky.

There is a split-level lounge area and viewing platforms as well as a small bar. Accommodation is luxurious, with 20 tents blending in with the environment. Views from the 360-degree deck are spectacular. There is an inviting swimming pool laid out in the garden, surrounded by stone paving and commanding wonderful views. There are also laundry services available and charging stations set up in the main tent.

Location

Guests staying at the Elewana Migration Camp will travel from Arusha on a 90-minute flight, landing at the Serengeti’s Lobo Airstrip. The camp, located in the Northern Serengeti, is a 40-minute drive from the Lobo Airstrip.

Rooms / Tents

The 20 Luxurious Elevated Tents have a large deck that offer wide views over the surrounding bush, a constant flow of game moving through the area. With guests’ comfort in mind, each tent is spacious and beautifully decorated and equipped. Tall canvas ceilings meet a wooden floor with a carpet set out in front of the bed. A large chest is placed at the foot of the bed and the decor comprises creams and whites, with splashes of color to brighten up the room.

All tents have an in-room electronic safe for guests to store their valuables, and there is an internal telephone system. The main tented area offers WiFi to guests. All tents are en-suite with a double vanity, shower and toilet, with modern bathroom amenities. Bathrobes and slippers are available for guests to use during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

Game viewing in open 4×4 vehicles is the best way to experience the incredible wildlife in the area. Guests can choose to embark on a walking safari where a qualified guide will lead you through the surrounding wilderness. If guests visit during the great migration season, there may be a chance to witness a spectacular crossing. On long game drives, a picnic lunch is set up for guests. Hot Air Balloon rides are available to guests on a pre-arranged basis.
