Just a few hours from the coast you could be rumbling over the savannah in your Jeep, tracking for lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the wonderland of wildlife in this special park.

Tsavo East National Park is one of Kenya’s oldest parks with tales of ferocious lions sweeping over this rugged terrain of red-dust soil and unexpected ancient lava flows. So too, are the surprises of verdant watering holes where the park’s thirsty inhabitants gather. Look for giraffe, zebra, warthog, and hundreds of birds.

We’ll spend 24 hours in this reserve, going on game drives, learning about nature’s wonders up close, and appreciating the bounty of the amazing wildlife all around us. 2 Days Tsavo East Safari Itinerary

Day 1

MALINDI/WATAMU – TSAVO EAST (140 KMS – Approx. 3 hours)

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

We’ll be up early for a busy safari day, traveling along the Malindi – Sala Gate Road. We’ll pass by farms and homesteads on this picturesque drive.

Day 2

TSAVO EAST – MALINDI/WATAMU (170 Kms – Approx. 3 hours)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

There’s nothing like rising at the crack of dawn to witness the animals emerging into the day. We like to call this the “Adventure In The Wild Safaris Experience” – a beautiful and inspiring moment, especially as the African sunrise lights up the plains.

We’ll try to get in some big game sightings before heading back for a rewarding breakfast. After a little relaxing, we’ll check out of our accommodations, but the game viewing isn’t over yet!

We’ll head out to Tsavo’s watering holes at Mudanda Rock and the Aruba Dam. The waters are a natural draw for antelope, impala, waterbuck, elephant, and many others.

Finally, it’s time to exit the park and perhaps get one last glimpse of an elephant patrolling along or giraffe nibbling at the treetops.

We’ll enjoy lunch on the way back to the coast, stopping at an open-air restaurant with immense views of the Tsavo East plains.
