The Masai Mara National Game Reserve is known for its dense population of big cats, broad rolling grasslands, and graceful acacia trees. Famous for Africa’s Big Five sightings, as well as cheetah, hyena, topi, and foxes, the reserve is also renowned for the great migration. Millions of wildebeest, zebra, and Thompson’s gazelle transit from the Serengeti, crossing the Mara River into the reserve.

3-Day Masai Mara Fly-In Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

07:00 hrs. – We’ll pick you up at the location of your choice – hotel, residence, or Nairobi airport for the easy ride to Wilson Airport.

There, you’ll board your plane for the approximately one-hour flight to the Masai Mara. As you wing over the sprawling Kenyan landscape, enjoy stunning views of iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro and the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 2: Full Day – Masai Mara

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We’re on safari time, which means an early rise to enjoy the morning light creeping across the plains and watching wildlife emerge into the new day. This will be a full day of game drives, with plenty of time to explore the reserve as you wish.

If you’re here during the Great Migration (July – October), you’ll witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles – thousands of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River on their annual journey. And waiting for them: lions, leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles hidden beneath the river’s surface.

Take in the unforgettable drama with a picnic lunch along the Mara River.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Meal Plan: Breakfast

It’s our final day on safari, so we’ll rise with the sun and the wildlife to savor nature’s beauty one last time. (Note: No game viewing drive on this final morning if staying inside the reserve.)

We’ll enjoy a relaxed safari breakfast back at our lodge or tented camp, reflecting on the many adventures and sightings of the past three days.

Then it’s time to board our 4 x 4 Jeep for an en-route drive to the airstrip and our flight back to Nairobi.
