Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Centre, and Spa

The Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Center, and Spa is a wonderful mix of corporate magic and a relaxing leisure destination. Boasting one of Africa’s largest beach convention centers, the resort sees a lot of business travelers spending their days mixing work and play. A unique feature is the family Aqua Park which can be found on the grounds. Water activities can also be found in the Indian Ocean including snorkeling, scuba diving and simply swimming and relaxing in paradise.

There are two restaurants, the Dau Restaurant offering buffet-style Swahili cuisine, and the Old Town Bistro offering pastries and pizzas. There is a friendly bar, a pool bar, and a comfortable lounge.

Guests can pamper themselves at the Bamboo Ocean Spa and spend time wandering through the resort’s gift shop. The conference facilities are spectacular and up to modern international standards while guests wanting to focus on relaxation can indulge in either massages, beauty therapy, and aqua treatments at the breathtaking Bamboo Ocean Spa. The swimming pool is grand with loungers with ocean views just beyond. For little children aged five to 12 years of age, there is the friendly Marinos Club.

Location

The Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Centre, and Spa is located in Shanzu near Mombasa, Kenya. The drive from Mombasa’s Moi International Airport is an 11-mile drive.

Rooms / Tents

Accommodation is set in white buildings boasting wooden-beamed balconies or opening out onto the lush green lawns and magnificent gardens. Ocean views are spectacular with all 240 rooms offering a spacious sleeping area and en-suite bathrooms.

The Deluxe Pool View rooms offer either double, single, or king-size beds with a verandah offering superb garden and pool views. The Superior Ocean Front Rooms offer either double or king-size beds, with a private balcony or verandah with views out to sea. The Paradise Suites have a king-size bed, a lounge area, and a balcony offering beautiful ocean views. The Family Room has a king-size bed, a separate sleeping area for children, a sitting area, and a balcony with fantastic views over the pool area and garden. The Club Room has a king-size bed, a lovely lounge with a coffee table and couch, and a private balcony with an amazing view over the Indian Ocean.

All rooms are air-conditioned and have a mini-bar, tea/coffee-making facilities, WiFi, a safe to store valuables, satellite television, and a cupboard to hang clothes. All rooms and suites are en-suite with a shower and some with a bathtub. All have a vanity and toilet and bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

There are many excursions guests can enjoy while staying at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Convention Centre, and Spa, as well as several activities to take part in, on the grounds. Snorkeling and scuba diving are popular and there is the additional activity of deep-sea fishing or simply enjoying the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

Guests can visit the Mamba Village Crocodile Farm located a mile away, or plan a visit to Fort Jesus and the Old Town Village to learn the history of Mombasa. Guests may wish to enjoy a round of golf two miles away or enjoy a wonderful safari at Shimba Hills National Reserve which is 65 miles away.
