Diamonds Dream of Africa

Known as one of Kenya’s most exclusive resorts, the Diamonds Dream of Africa is a luxury experience set on the idyllic Kenyan east coast. The setting of the grounds is dramatically beautiful, with sandy areas flanked by palm trees and highlighted by a large swimming pool with a paved lounging area.

Two wonderful restaurants are serving amazing food. The Terrace overlooks the pool and serves a la carte international cuisine, with a focus on seafood to be noted. Onda Beach Grill offers a barbeque-style menu with a laid-back ambiance created by its beach setting.

Guests can grab a snack at the poolside bar or head to the main bar, Fael’s Cocktail Bar, located in the center of the resort. Superbly designed suites await you for a peaceful evening drink on your patio or balcony with lovely views of the manicured grounds. Should you require a touch of pampering, the Mvua African Rain Spa has a selection of massages and treatments for you.

Location

The Diamonds Dream of Africa is located off Casuarina Road in Malindi, ideally located along Kenya’s eastern coastline. The Malindi Airport is two miles away while the nearest International Airport is Mombasa’s Moi Airport which is an approximate two and a half hour’s drive.

Rooms / Tents

There are only 35 suites available at this outstanding paradise escape, all offering beautiful views out over the well-kept gardens from a private patio or balcony. There are 33 Junior Suites which have a double bed or two single beds, while the two Suites have a double bed or two single beds, a separate living room, with breakfast offered in the suite and a bottle of house wine waiting to welcome guests upon arrival.

Each room is air-conditioned and has a small writing desk and chair, a mini-bar, a safe to store valuables, and tea/coffee-making facilities. There is WiFi, satellite television, 24-hour room service, and a clothing cupboard. All rooms are en-suite and have a wonderful shower and hydromassage jacuzzi, plus vanity, toilet, and modern bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

The Sports Center at the Diamonds Dream of Africa organizes daily activities that include popular water sports such as windsurfing, canoeing, snorkeling, and scuba diving which is run by Blue Fin Diving Centre. Guests can visit the Tsavo East National Park for a day on safari, a two-hour drive from the hotel, or an excursion to Hell’s Kitchen where they can enjoy a sunset drink of choice, watching as the rocks seemingly glow under the brilliant orange light.

Guests can enjoy a Dhow boat cruise, a visit to the Falconry of Kenya located three miles away, and Ndoro Sculpture Gardens which is a twenty-minute walk. The Vasco da Gama Pillar is located one mile away.
