Rondo Retreat Centre
Rondo Retreat Centre is a peaceful sanctuary nestled within the lush Kakamega rainforest in Nandi, western Kenya. Perfect for those seeking tranquility, reflection, and immersion in nature, this serene Christian retreat offers a spiritual and sensory escape unlike any other. The main house, an elegant Colonial-era structure, features a cozy fireplace, two inviting lounges, a well-stocked library, and an expansive verandah overlooking the gardens. While the retreat does not serve alcohol, guests are welcome to bring their own beverages to enjoy in the comfort of their rooms or cottages.
Guests dine in one of two charming dining rooms offering sweeping views of the surrounding forest. Hearty and flavorful meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—are served with grace and care, often by candlelight, and tea and coffee are readily available in the shared spaces and cottages. Afternoon tea is a highlight of the experience, accompanied by the ambient sounds of the forest. Cozy cottages are designed for rest and rejuvenation, while guided walks and nature trails offer opportunities to engage deeply with the rainforest ecosystem under the guidance of knowledgeable local experts.
