Our Wildlife Parks

From endangered rhinos to roaming big cats to vast herds of elephants, and teeming flocks of birdlife, just about every kind of wildlife can be found in Kenya’s rich array of national parks.

Nairobi National Park

Incredibly, within sight of downtown Nairobi you can spot lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, and so much more just minutes away from the big city.

Masai Mara National Reserve

The densest concentration of lions in the region, the Mara is home to the Great Migration. This is the largest movement of animals on the planet. Up to two million gazelle, wildebeest and zebra flow into the park in a yearly cycle of survival. Here is where the Maasai people live and practice their herding lifestyle.

Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks

Kenya’s largest reserves, they hold all the Big Five, including large herds of elephants.

Samburu National Park

Home to close to a thousand great elephants plus the native Samburu people, this peaceful park presents opportunities to spot unusual species, birdlife, and African wild dogs.

Amboseli National Park

Framed by towering Mt. Kilimanjaro at its southern border, the park’s dense concentration of elephants guarantees sightings of the noble creatures.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Though they are endangered, you’re sure to see black rhinos in the park’s protected sanctuary. Birdlife abounds with sightings of fuchsia flamingoes.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Lots of predators plus a sanctuary for both rhinos and chimpanzees – the only place in Kenya to see these playful apes.

Marine Parks and Beaches

Rivaling Kenya’s landscapes and wildlife parks, its diamond-like coastline and rich marine parks are awash with colour, sea-life, and adventure. Some of the world’s most extensive and colourful coral reefs lie in these waters. And the snorkeling and diving are unmatched.

Kisite Mpunguti Marine National Park

Snorkel and dive with the dolphins and turtles by an immense coral barrier reef, sometimes called the rainforest of the sea.

Watamu Marine National Park

Brilliant lagoons and dazzling coral gardens hold sea turtles, hundreds of fish and manta rays.

Malindi Marine National Park

Africa’s first marine park offers fringing coral reefs with turtles, dolphins, innumerable fish, and shorebirds.

Diani, Kilifi, Tiwi Beaches

David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

Where else in the world can you adopt an orphaned baby elephant or watch a group of these babies and youngsters being bottle-fed formula after a busy day playing. Adorable memories are made here.

The Giraffe Center

A unique refuge for endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Climb the feeding platform and slip some special pellets to a hungry giraffe. You just might get a kiss in return.

Karen Blixen Museum

Home to the renowned author of “Out of Africa”, this farmhouse/museum holds displays and mementos of Blixen’s time as a plantation owner in Kenya.

Mombasa

Kenya’s other large city is a coastal town with plenty of beaches and cultural sites.

Fort Jesus

Constructed by King Philip I of Portugal in 1593, this venerable fortress controlled the trade routes from Africa to the East. The valuable site changed hands nine times between Portuguese, Muslim, Swahili, and British invaders through the centuries.

Haller Park Sanctuary

A testament to vision and determination, this discarded limestone quarry evolved into a rich paradise of forest and grassland, now home to hippo, giraffe, buffalo, and crocodile!
