Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge

In the heart of the Tarangire wilderness lies the Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge. Baobab trees are scattered around the stunning wilderness property, with roaming wildlife bringing this intense safari destination to life. Elephants are prominent in this area with the option for guests to engage with them on night drives as well as daytime exploration. Location

The Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge is located in Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, around 45 minutes away from the Kuro Airstrip. The flights from Arusha will take around 20 minutes and if guests want to drive, the journey will take around four and a half hours.

Rooms / Tents

There are 13 Tented Suites located at the Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge with 10 Standard Suites all configured as either double, twin or triple beds. The two Family Suites have two bedrooms and then the Honeymoon Suite has a large double bed and a bathroom that boasts an outdoor shower. Beds have mosquito netting and the tent itself has netted windows so they can be kept open at night.

The rooms are approximately 1,722 sq feet in size and there is a writing desk and chair in the room, as well as a comfortable bench seat and a place for guests to hang their clothing. The rooms have WiFi and guests have access to laundry services during their stay. The bathrooms are en-suite with a toilet, vanity, and shower and guests have use of bathroom amenities during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

Game drives in the morning and late afternoon are most popular in the Tarangire National Park and guests have the opportunity to see four of the ‘Big Five” (rhinos are not present) as well as wild dogs and cheetahs. Guests can embark on a walking safari and a game drive at night, a chance to spot nocturnal favorites such as porcupines, owls, and civets. Bush picnics can be arranged and for a cultural experience, guests can visit a local Maasai village.
