Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge

The picturesque Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge boasts an incredible landscape and an array of excellent accommodation options. The Lodge is set up on a hill or ‘kopje’ overlooking the Tarangire River, with views over expansive savanna and forests. The main area of the tented lodge has a comfortable sitting area with leather couches, canvas walls and flooring, colorful floor rugs, and elegant lighting. A dark wooden chest is set up in the middle of the room and African art and decor are depicted throughout. The dining area is elegant and cozy and meals are incredibly delicious and accompanied by a beverage of choice from the small bar located in the corner of the main tent.

Luxury tents are well-designed and set up with spacious bathrooms and a comfortable sitting area. Guests have the option to gather around a communal fire in the evenings to chat about the day’s events. There is a small library for guests to enjoy and a gift shop offering souvenirs for guests to browse through and guests have the option to laze by a glistening swimming pool, embark on cultural excursions, and enjoy game drives and safari walks.

Location

Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge is located in the Tarangire National Park, part of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. The Kuro Airstrip is located five miles away from the Lodge, a flight of around 20 to 25 minutes. Arusha is located 90 miles away from the Lodge.

Rooms / Tents

25 Luxury Tents are located at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge, all around 800 sq feet in size. There is a king bed in the rooms, a small sitting area, and a verandah with a swing chair for guests to unwind during the day. There is a small writing desk and chair, and a sofa bed which is ideal for families. There is hanging space for clothes.

Game Viewing / Activities

Guests have the opportunity to enjoy Maasai Cultural lessons when visiting a local Maasai community. Bush lunches are available to guests staying at the Tarangire Kuro Treetops Lodge with game drives the main activity available to guests. Hot air balloon rides are offered to guests, a chance to witness animals roaming below. Game drives are conducted in the morning and afternoon, a chance to view the ‘Big Five’ namely elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo.
