SAROVA MARA CAMP

With one of the best locations in the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the Sarova Mara Camp is a large property set within prime game viewing territory and boasts a look and feel that blends bush and beds in luxury style. Dining takes place in a vibrant Isokon dining room and guests can relax in a comfortable lounge or at the Oloip bar which overlooks the swimming pool, where guests can quench their thirst. Experimental dining is popular at the Sarova Mara Camp with bush dinners, boma evenings and meals near a waterhole, always on the menu. 75 tents are spread out from the main area, all ensuite and boasting a private deck.

A picturesque swimming pool set in a stone deck and lounging area adds to the beauty of the camp’s idyllic setting. For little explorer’s the Ozone Kid’s Club entertains children between the ages of 4 and 12, offering activities both indoors and outside. Adults can indulge in the Tulia Wellness Center with treatments conducted in tranquil settings. Guests can take home some Maasai memorabilia from the Adia gift shop. Visit the chef’s organic garden or the nearby Isokon Maasai Cultural Village nearby.

Location

Sarova Mara Camp is in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, seven miles from Keerok Airstrip and a four hour drive from Nairobi. The camp is located in a rich wildlife area and ideally located for a chance to witness the great wildebeest migration.

Rooms / Tents

75 beautifully-appointed tents welcome guests to enjoy views of either the camp’s gardens or the surrounding bush from their private balcony. The total number of rooms are made up of 19 standard tents, 30 deluxe tents, 20 club tents and three family tents. Decor colors are calm, earthy tones and each tent has a writing desk, safari chairs and comfortable beds. An ensuite bathroom tea/coffee making facilities and a safety deposit box are also amenities each tent has.

The deluxe tents boast more space with a mini bar stocked on request plus a ceiling fan and glass doors, while the club tents have a separate living area, mini bar, ceiling fan and a larger bed. Families can take advantage of spacious accommodations in the wild.

Game Viewing / Activities

Game viewing in the Masai Mara is exceptional and the Sarova Mara Camp can be found in a prime wildlife spotting region, with a great vantage point to witness the great wildebeest migration. Nature walks are popular with guests as they discover the flora and fauna of the area, an opportunity to see animals of all sizes at play.

Game drives are usually conducted by private tour operators in 4×4 enclosed vehicles with pop-up roofs, however open vehicle game drives and hot air balloon experiences can be arranged by Sarova at a cost.
