Safaris Unlimited offers a classic African safari experience with their comfortable, mobile tented camps. Designed for guests who want to immerse themselves in nature without the distractions of modern luxury, the camp delivers an authentic, adventurous experience in the heart of Kenya’s wilderness.

The mobile tents are simply yet thoughtfully furnished, with warm feather duvets and hot water bottles provided for cooler nights. Each tent features a private canvas bathroom setup, including a traditional bucket shower and a canvas loo unit discreetly placed behind the tent.

Campsites are chosen for their scenic beauty and serenity—either beneath a canopy of shady trees or on the banks of a picturesque river. The central mess tent, also minimally decorated, includes a large dining table where guests enjoy hearty English breakfasts in the morning and elegant three-course dinners in the evening. All meals are freshly prepared on-site over open fires, with delicious handmade bread served daily.

Guests are free to enjoy drinks throughout the day from the well-stocked bush bar. Lighting is provided by solar power and hurricane lanterns, enhancing the rustic charm of the camp. To charge devices, guests must bring the correct adapters for the 12V cigarette lighter sockets in the safari vehicles. Laundry service is available daily, except on travel days.

Activities

The signature experience at Safaris Unlimited is horseback riding. The camp’s horses—ranging from 14hh to 17hh—are a blend of Arab crossbreds and thoroughbreds. They are well-trained, responsive, and good-natured, and the team ensures each rider is paired with the right horse. Saddles used include English general-purpose and French cavalry styles, and horses are ridden with simple snaffle bridles. Saddlebags are provided to carry essentials such as water, rain gear, and cameras.

For those who prefer not to ride, morning, afternoon, and night game drives are available. Guests can choose to spend their entire day in the safari vehicle and still experience the wonders of the Kenyan bush under the expert guidance of Adventure In The Wild Safaris.
