Manyara’s Secret

Manyara’s Secret is a wonderful discovery that lies just off the shores of Lake Manyara, with spectacular views as far as the eye can see.
The accommodation comprises privately-situated villas all with Lake views and offering a simply serene escape.

The main Lodge area has a small, luxury sitting area, a charming bar, and a dining room where gourmet and elegant meals are served.
Meals can, however, be enjoyed out on the beautiful deck, overlooking Lake Manyara or in the privacy of the guests’ suite.

The swimming pool blends in perfectly with the nearby Lake, a baobab tree breaking the landscape of the pool and lake.
Guests can unwind with a pamper session, spa treatments, and relaxing massages offered to guests.
There is a small gift shop and an array of wonderful activities and excursions for guests to embark on.

Location

Manyara’s Secret is located just off the shores of Lake Manyara in Lake Manyara National Park.
Guests would fly in from Arusha to Lake Manyara Airstrip, a flight of approximately 30 minutes,
then transfer nine miles to the Lodge. The drive from Arusha will take around two and a half hours.

Rooms / Tents

There are only four stunning villas at Manyara’s Secret.
The Private Villa sleeps two guests in one bedroom, while the Savanna Villa has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four guests.
The Safari Villa has three bedrooms and a separate living room and can sleep up to six guests.
The Baobab Villa is a spectacular four-bedroom villa which has a living room and fire pit.

The rooms are large with a large deck that has a private plunge pool.
Inside, the decor is neutral with splashes of earthy tones highlighted in cushions and some furniture.

Each room has either a double bed or twin bed with mosquito netting and there is a tea/coffee-making station,
a writing desk and chair, and a safe for guests to store their valuables.
Room service is on offer and there is WiFi in the rooms.
The en-suite bathrooms have a toilet, double vanity, and shower—both indoors and outdoors.
Bathroom amenities are provided for guests to use during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

Guests staying at Manyara’s Secret will enjoy the wonderful water activities on Lake Manyara, from boating to bird-watching.
Guests can embark on game drives in the morning and afternoon, as well as exciting night drives where nocturnal favorites
such as aardvarks, owls, and porcupines can be spotted.

Guests can enjoy a walking safari and mountain bike adventures or learn to cook with a Swahili cooking class.
Perhaps they would like to take a tuk-tuk to visit the local community in Mto wa Mbu, and learn about their heritage,
techniques, and rich culture.
