Manyara Best View Lodge

True to its unique name, Manyara Best View Lodge exceeds all expectations with outstanding views from its vantage point high up on the Rift Valley escarpment. Guests can gaze over Lake Manyara, the Valley, and on a clear day, Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru come into view.

Accommodation is spectacular and the main area has a lounge with comfortable seating and a bar serving a wide menu of beverages. The dining area is elegantly set up and meals can be served out on the Lodge’s verandah.

There is a refreshing swimming pool with a space for guests to relax and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of their surroundings and guests can enjoy a drink from the poolside bar or pop into the small coffee shop on the property. There are meeting rooms for guests who need to work during their stay and guests can take some time to browse through the Lodge’s gift shop. Excursions range from cultural visits to adventurous horse riding, and evenings are rounded off with guests having the opportunity to sit around a campfire and share stories of their day. Location

The Manyara Best View Lodge is located above the Great Rift Valley Escarpment near the Lake Manyara National Park. Guests would be able to fly from Arusha to the Lake Manyara Airstrip, a flight of approximately 30 minutes, or from Kilimanjaro which would take around 40 minutes. The drive from the Airstrip is only two miles long. Driving from Arusha will take around three hours.

Rooms / Tents

Accommodation at Manyara Best View Lodge comprises a selection of rooms that are categorized into Silver Luxury Rooms, Gold Luxury Rooms, and Platinum Luxury Rooms. All are equipped with a king-size bed and a private verandah for guests to capture the exquisite surrounding views, no matter where they are at the Lodge.

Silver Rooms have an en-suite bathroom with a shower while the en-suite bathrooms in the Gold Rooms have an indoor and outdoor shower. The Platinum Rooms offer the ultimate bathroom experience, with an indoor shower and an outdoor bush bathtub.

There is a desk and chair plus a small sitting area in each room. They have air-conditioning and there is a tea/coffee-making station in each one. WiFi is offered in each room. Guests staying in a Platinum Room have access to a butler during their stay. Room service is offered to all guests during their stay.

Game Viewing / Activities

Guests staying at the Manyara Best View Lodge can enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Lake Manyara National Park, with the option of a night game drive. The latter allows guests to see the elusive leopard up in the tree perhaps, or watch hippos grazing under the night stars.

Guests can also enjoy hiking, horse riding, and mountain biking as well as enjoy some bird watching during a canoe experience. For a cultural experience, guests can visit a local Maasai community and step into the Marera Village Gallery or African Galleria, located nearby — all organized through Adventure In The Wild Safaris.
