Mandhari Lodge is located on the Manyara Escarpment with breathtaking views over Lake Natron and Lake Manyara and in the distance, the Monduli Mountains. The Lodge is built from locally sourced materials and designed and decorated to reflect the colors of nature. It boasts Swahili influences, with a warm and comfortable lounge and bar area and an open dining room with large windows bringing the outside world in.
The reception area is vast and contains a small gift shop. There is a refreshing swimming pool where guests can relax and take in the captivating scenery while sitting on hand-crafted furniture. Spa treatments are available with a wonderful menu of treatments and massages and embracing yoga in this environment is more than tranquil. Guests can enjoy a Tinga Tinga painting lesson or cooking class with the talented kitchen team.
Location
Mandhari Lodge is located on the Manyara Escarpment near Lake Manyara National Park. Flights from Arusha to the Lake Manyara Airstrip will take approximately 30 minutes and from there, clients are transferred to the Lodge, a drive of around 25 minutes. Guests driving from Arusha will have a journey of around two and a half hours.
Rooms / Tents
The accommodation complement at Mandhari Lodge comprises nine Luxury Suites, six of them are Glass-Front Suites, there are two Family Rooms and one Honeymoon Suite. All rooms deliver outstanding views and are equipped with amenities such as a mini-bar, tea/coffee-making station, WiFi, and the option of room service.
The Glass-Front Suites open directly out onto the surrounding bush, neutral colors flow throughout the rooms, smooth floors and wooden ceilings are simply beautiful in texture, with a small writing desk set up in one corner.
The beds have wooden headboards and boast a mosquito net, while in a separate area, guests can relax on comfortable chairs in a small lounge. Bathrooms are all en-suite and have a toilet, vanity, and shower plus bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay. All accommodation is solar-powered.

Game Viewing / Activities
Game drives are fantastic in Lake Manyara National Park with the added experience of a night drive available to guests. Safaris offer a chance to spot the elusive leopard or spot owls, civets, or hippos grazing in the dark. Tree-climbing lions are often spotted in the National Park during morning and afternoon game drives.
Bird watching is spectacular with the pink flamingos that sit on the Lake, a truly colorful sight. Guests can embark on a walking safari and for something different, partake in a Tinga Tinga art class, learn to speak Swahili, or enjoy a cooking class with the Lodge’s chef.
