Lewa Conservancy is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It spans 61,000 acres in Northern Kenya and is a leading model for community conservation, protecting rhinos and elephants. The conservancy is a safe refuge for endangered species such as the Black rhino, the Grevy’s zebra, and other wildlife. It is home to more than 450 bird species.

There’s a variety of established safari lodgings within Lewa and just outside its gates. Lewa House

What a gem! The Lewa House sits high above the valleys and plains of the Lewa Conservancy, a charming house made of local materials, with cream walls supporting a beautiful thatched roof. The main building offers a space comprising an elegant dining area on one side with a cozy lounge, and colorful, scattered cushions inviting guests to stop and rest a while. There is a large, open fireplace and a wonderfully laid-back verandah leading off from this main area, providing more sitting space.

Elewana Lewa Safari Camp

An exquisite camp with a focus on conservation and community connection, the luxury Elewana Lewa Safari Camp is situated in a wildlife-rich conservancy teeming with outstanding animal sightings and dramatic wilderness. Lewa Safari Camp has a truly relaxed vibe with an authentic safari ambiance. The nine rooms scatter the Lewa Wilderness terrain, all set among lush lawns. The tall thatch roof of the main lodge peaks out among a bushy landscape, the tall trees providing a private space for guests to unwind.
