The camp’s location varies by season to maximize game-viewing opportunities. In June, the camp is typically set around the spectacular Moru Kopjes — a scenic and remote region of the Serengeti. Moru is renowned for its permanent water sources and is home to the Serengeti Rhino Project. It also supports a healthy population of lions due to the abundance of resident wildlife.

While the Great Migration may or may not pass through Moru in June, its route is unpredictable and largely dictated by weather and the availability of water. This mobility allows Kirurumu Serengeti Central Camp to remain close to the action while avoiding the more congested areas of the park.
