ELEWANA ELSA’S KOPJE MERU

Located in the Mughwango Hills in Meru National Park lies the exquisite Elewana Elsa’s Kopje Lodge. A luxury accommodation amidst a classic African setting offers guests a chance to witness incredible wilderness and wildlife as well as distinctive and beautiful accommodations, all set around a rocky outcrop boasting views over the Park.

The neat and inviting swimming pool is the perfect place for guests to unwind and cool down after a day on safari. Location

Elewana Elsa’s Kopje lies in Kenya’s Meru National Park, located in central Kenya. Flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport take around one hour, with planes landing at the Mughwango Airstrip. A short five-minute drive will have you at your lodge. Driving from Nairobi will be quite a long journey of around seven hours.

Rooms / Tents

There are Six Cottages, a Family Cottage, and three Honeymoon Suites offering luxurious accommodation at Elewana’s Elsa’s Kopje Meru. All accommodations are unique in design with open-fronted walls created from a blend of beautifully crafted wooden beams and thatched roofing with wooden floors brightened by colorful rugs. Beds have mosquito netting over them adding to the cozy ambience. All accommodation offers WiFi, a wardrobe, a sitting area, and a safe for valuables to be stored during your stay.

The cottages can be set up as double beds or with twin beds while the beautifully spacious family cottage comprises two bedrooms which are separated by a comfortable lounge with a large verandah open to both rooms. A bonus in the family cottage is the outside bath off the master bedroom.

Romance is in the air when staying in a honeymoon suite, with an outside bath and even a three-level escape with a lounge and viewing deck. To top off the complement of accommodation at Elsa’s Kopje Meru, there is a private house that overlooks vast plains and breathtaking views of Mt Kenya.

Guests staying at Elsa Kopje Meru will be able to enjoy outstanding game drives early in the morning and late in the afternoon, traversing miles of open savannas and woodlands bursting with incredible wildlife. Expert guides can take guests for an incredible walk through the wilderness, and nature trails allowing you to feel closer to nature.

With over 400 bird species, bird watching is incredible in this area. Combining this with a boat safari is a wonderful experience, keeping a lookout for hippos, and other wildlife grazing on the banks.
