Come explore Kenya’s biggest, oldest and most legendary parks! It’s an easy drive from your beach resort to the massive red soil plains of Tsavo East and its great elephant herds. It’s an even shorter drive over to the scenic rolling hills and lush green springs of neighboring Tsavo West. Both promise two days of adventurous game drives tracking hunters and grazers.

Just a few short hours from the beach will bring us to Kenya’s largest protected game park. Here at rugged Tsavo East, we’ll be journeying to spot Africa’s “Big Five.” This includes the famous red-dust elephants who like to roll in the rosy oxide soil. We’ll also be on the “hunt” for eland, gerenuk, impala and giraffe.

At sister park, Tsavo West, we’ll traverse its rolling vistas and visit active watering holes like Mzima Springs. The park is also known to host and protect a large population of black rhinos in the sanctuary here. We’ll visit these spots and others – just let us know what you’d prefer. Last minute? Your 2-Day Tsavo East/Tsavo West safari includes park entrance fees, game drives, accommodations and meals. Adventure In The Wild Safaris always offers a wide choice of accommodations. Depending on your budget and style choose from economy, comfort or luxury safari lodges or tented camps.

Your Guide

For your 2-day journey, you’ll be guided, hosted and looked after by your own experienced driver/guide.

Transportation between parks and game viewing will be in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep – this vehicle is the safari standard with its higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

Tsavo East – Tsavo West Safari – 2 Days

Day 1

MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST – TSAVO WEST (220 KMS – Approx. 3 hours)

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

The safari begins with a pickup at your beach hotel or at the Mombasa port. We’ll take the Mombasa – Nairobi Highway to Tsavo East. Enjoy your first game drives and spot the iconic wildlife of Kenya’s largest parks before heading to Tsavo West for overnight accommodation.

Day 2

TSAVO WEST – MOMBASA (240 KMS – Approx. 5-6 hours)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

We have lots to see today so it’s an early rise, along with the sun and the wildlife. We’ll head out on our dawn game drive as we observe the animals emerging from the bush in the awakening light – all of us sharing great expectations for the coming day.

After breakfast, we’ll take a break from the rugged terrain of the park and travel to Mzima Springs, a lush watering hole fed by a clear torrent of underground waters. This is one of the few places we can leave our safari vehicle and step out amongst palm-lined shores.

It should be easy to spot the aquatic life here – hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish and birds. This verdant watering hole also attracts the park’s other thirsty citizens such as zebra, giraffe and lots of monkeys.

We’ll fill out the rest of our stay with more adventurous game drives before finally exiting the park and returning to Mombasa.

Safari Vehicle & Guide

All transportation and game viewing will be in a private 4×4 Land Cruiser Jeep provided by Adventure In The Wild Safaris. You’ll be guided and hosted by an experienced driver/guide ensuring a memorable safari experience.
