Nungwi Dreams by Mantis

The Nungwi Dreams by Mantis is a boutique hotel offering a luxury escape on Zanzibar’s Nungwi beach. Situated on the northern tip, this beautiful resort-style intimate hotel offers tranquility in paradise. Accommodation is set in a series of white-walled buildings, all centered around the main building housing the restaurant and relaxing bars. Meals served can be enjoyed both inside and outside on the deck, offering commanding views over the Indian Ocean, a mix of international and local cuisine served.

There are two infinity swimming pools offering exquisite views and a gym for those guests who want to work out during their stay. The Healing Earth Spa offers a selection of treatments and massages, a relaxing option in an idyllic setting. Activities include excursions to a turtle conservation, a plethora of water activities and a sunset dhow trip.

Location

Nungwi Dreams by Mantis is located on the Northern tip of Nungwi Beach on Zanzibar Island. A flight from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar will take approximately 20 minutes with a 60-minute road transfer to the hotel. Guests can choose to take a two-hour ferry across from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar, with a drive of around one hour to the hotel. Guests may also fly into Zanzibar Airport from other parts of Tanzania or on an international flight.

Rooms / Tents

There are three main room types available at Nungwi Dreams by Mantis, namely Standard, Seaview, OceanFront and there is a Presidential Villa. The Standard Rooms are situated close to the main area and are located on either the ground floor with a terrace or the upper floor with a balcony. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with light colors against dark wood, a coral theme running throughout. There is a King bed in each room with Twin bedding available on request. There is air conditioning, complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini-bar at a cost and a safe for guests to store their valuables during their stay.

The 24 Seaview rooms have the same features as the Standard rooms, with a little more space and a balcony offering side views of the sea. The OceanFront rooms are ideal for a romantic escape, set right on the beachfront with a wonderful terrace and incredible ocean views. The Presidential Villa is perfect for small travel groups or families looking for their own private space. It comprises four bedrooms, a private swimming pool and a roof-top lounge. There is a lounge area for guests to relax indoors and the outdoor terrace the ideal place to relax in a truly idyllic beach property. All rooms are en-suite with a shower, vanity and toilet, plus bathroom amenities for guests to use during their stay.
