Rhino River Tented Camp
Sitting on 60 acres of private land, located next to the Meru National Park in Kenya’s north, the Rhino River Tented Camp is an intimate camp offering. Blending in with nature, the neat swimming pool is surrounded by trees and bush, offering a quiet place to cool down after a day of exploring nature and wildlife. The main area has a lounge and bar and the restaurant, and the seven canvas tents are privately laid out among trees or with river views. Nature walks and biking trails run through the property and activities await in nearby Meru National Park, a short distance away.
Location
Rhino River Tented Camp is located on a private concession just outside the Meru National Park’s boundary, a four and a half hour drive from Nairobi. Guests can fly from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, a 30-minute flight, with a short transfer to the lodge from there.
Rooms / Tents
Accommodation comprises seven canvas tents, unique in design and beautifully located on the concession. Five tents are raised with wooden decks, carefully placed among the trees. The Kindani River flows nearby, adding to the tranquil ambience of the camp. Two tents can be found in the forest, a private setting perfect for an intimate getaway.
