Kicheche Mara Camp

Kicheche Mara Camp is a charming and luxurious tented camp located in the spectacular Mara North Conservancy, part of the world-famous Masai Mara ecosystem. This eco-conscious camp offers an unforgettable safari experience and is among the first in the region to operate electric safari vehicles with zero emissions, contributing to conservation and sustainability.

The camp’s main area features a welcoming dining tent where delicious meals are served, with the option to dine al fresco under a shady Euclea Tree. The cozy Camp Lounge provides expansive views over the valley, complemented by a small library, board games, and a curated selection of locally made souvenirs and crafts available for purchase.

Guests stay in one of 10 luxury tents positioned along a seasonal stream, where wildlife sightings are common right from your doorstep. Because the camp is situated within a conservancy, it is not unusual for animals to roam through the area, adding to the authentic bush experience.

Location

Kicheche Mara Camp is situated in the exclusive Mara North Conservancy, adjacent to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The closest access point is the Mara North Airstrip, just a 45-minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, followed by a 20-minute drive to the camp. Alternatively, guests can drive from Nairobi in approximately five hours.

Rooms / Tents

The camp features 10 spacious and beautifully appointed tents designed to offer comfort and privacy in the heart of the African wilderness. Each tent includes a furnished private verandah with serene views over the Olare Orok stream, making it a perfect place to relax and watch wildlife.

Tents can be configured as Doubles, Triples, or Quads. A special Family Suite is available, comprising two separate en-suite bedrooms with showers, basins, and toilets. All tents and public areas are powered by solar energy, staying true to the camp’s commitment to sustainability.
