Porini Lion Camp

The award-winning, eco-friendly Porini Lion Camp offers a unique and authentic safari experience within the exclusive 33,000-acre Olare Motorogi Conservancy. This pristine wilderness, dedicated to wildlife conservation and low-impact tourism, is the perfect destination for travelers seeking an intimate connection with nature. The camp is located in a stunning and secluded position on the banks of the seasonal Ntiakatiak River. Bordering the renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, the conservancy is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including the famous Big Cats of the Mara. With just nine tents and one family unit, Porini Lion Camp offers a tranquil, “away-from-it-all” experience in the heart of the African bush.

Family Unit

The family unit is a spacious, I-shaped tent set 20 meters from the camp’s main area. Covering 144 square meters, it consists of two separate rooms connected by a central lounge. Each room includes a king-size bed and a single bed, making it ideal for families or groups of friends traveling together. The tent is constructed from high-quality canvas, furnished with comfort in mind, and includes solar-powered lighting, ensuite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, and a private veranda. The family unit is available at the same per-person rate as the other tents.

Guest Tents

Each of the nine guest tents is spacious, tastefully decorated, and designed to blend with the natural environment. Amenities include solar-powered lighting, ensuite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, and private verandas for enjoying the sights and sounds of the wilderness. Limited complimentary laundry service is available, weather permitting. In respect of local customs, the camp does not launder underwear; however, washing powder is provided for guests who wish to wash their own garments.
