In keeping with the retreat-like atmosphere, Lamu hosts religious festivals and is a study center for Islamic and Swahili cultures.

Day 1: NAIROBI – LAMU

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel for a transfer to Wilson Airport. (You may also start at the end of your Kenya safari tour as an extension.)

1400hrs: Depart Nairobi for Lamu Island

1510hrs: Arrival at Manda Airstrip
