Voyager Ziwani Camp

Voyager Ziwani Camp offers a peaceful escape on the western edge of Tsavo West National Park, overlooking a serene dam fed by the Sante River. The camp’s layout includes a main building leading onto vibrant green lawns that host a mix of indoor and outdoor seating options. Dining takes place in an open-air restaurant, with the unique option of enjoying meals under the stars, often accompanied by traditional Masai performances. A cozy, stone-walled bar in one corner of the camp completes the relaxed safari ambiance.

Voyager Ziwani Camp is ideal for both families and individual safari-goers. A dedicated explorer’s club is available for young adventurers, offering fun and educational activities. Adults can engage in learning about the local Masai culture through evening dance shows and cultural talks held at the camp.

Guests who wish to enhance their safari experience beyond wildlife viewing can opt for excursions to notable nearby attractions. These include the scenic Chala and Jipe volcanic lakes, the historical Grogan’s Castle, and a World War II battlefield known as ‘Slaughter Hill’. Other unique experiences include astronomy lessons under the African sky and visits to the historic ‘Sniper Tree’ at Gicheha farm.

Location

Voyager Ziwani Camp is situated in a private sanctuary just beyond the western boundary of Tsavo West National Park. It can be accessed either by road or air, with a convenient all-weather airstrip located right at the camp’s edge, making fly-in safaris a stress-free option. For road travelers, it’s a four-hour drive from Nairobi, through stunning Kenyan landscapes.
