Nyikani Tarangire Camp

Nyikani Tarangire Camp offers an elegant and luxurious safari experience within Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park. Its tranquil location near the winding Tarangire River adds to the peaceful ambiance. Guests are warmly welcomed by friendly staff and a large, inviting fire pit at the center of camp life. The main tented area is lively and colorful, with splashes of teal, yellow, and purple on furnishings and artwork, beautifully contrasted by the neutral-toned canvas walls and ceiling.

A small bar offers a curated selection of quality wines and popular beers, while the dining area features individual wooden tables adorned with vibrant runners. Meals are prepared by talented chefs and include a delicious mix of international and local flavors. Guests can unwind beneath the shade of Acacia trees or relax in the comfort of their private tent. Activities include game drives, guided nature walks, and immersive cultural experiences.

Location

Nyikani Tarangire Camp is located in the heart of Tanzania’s Tarangire National Park, just a five-minute transfer from the nearby Kuro Airstrip. Guests can choose a short 20-minute flight from Arusha or enjoy a scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive from Arusha to the camp.

Rooms / Tents

The camp offers 13 luxury safari tents privately nestled within unspoiled bushland. There are 12 Standard Tents and one Family Tent with two bedrooms. Each tent features a furnished verandah, perfect for soaking in the natural surroundings. Inside, guests will find either one double bed or two single beds, dressed in crisp linens with African print throws.

Continuing the camp’s color theme, teal and yellow accents in chairs and cushions brighten the interiors. Each tent includes a writing desk, a sofa in a small sitting area, and space for hanging clothes. Morning tea or coffee is brought to the tent, and room service is available throughout the stay.

Guests have access to a digital safe for valuables and a two-way radio for communication with the main tent. The en-suite bathrooms include a toilet, vanity, and a traditional bucket shower, filled upon request for a refreshing and authentic safari experience.

Game Viewing / Activities

Game drives in Tarangire National Park are nothing short of spectacular. The park is home to the Big Five and offers an opportunity to witness elephants near the Tarangire River or lions resting in the open. With over 400 bird species, birdwatchers will enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Guests can also choose to embark on a thrilling hot air balloon ride over the park or participate in a bush walk with a professional guide for a deeper, more intimate exploration of the wilderness.
