This exciting Tsavo West and Amboseli safari departs from the Kenya coast and takes you through some of Kenya’s most scenic and wildlife-rich landscapes.
You’ll visit Tsavo West National Park, known for its rugged wilderness, and Amboseli National Park, famed for its views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds.

3-Day Tsavo West & Amboseli Safari

Day 1: Kenya Coast – Tsavo West (240 km, Approx. 5 hrs)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
We start early on our Kenya safari tour via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway. There shall be a pit stop for breakfast and refreshments along the safari route.
Day 2: Tsavo West – Amboseli (140 km, Approx. 3 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
“The early bird catches the worm!” We test this saying by embarking on an early morning game spotting and scenery viewing drive in Tsavo West National Park.
The African sunrise, the freshness of the wild, and the animal sightings will be the highlights of our morning. We’ll observe browsers and predators move about unbothered by human presence.
A visit to Mzima Springs follows, where we view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and a variety of bird species. The lush greenery around the springs contrasts with Tsavo West’s arid terrain.
The 100 km drive to Amboseli National Park takes us through wild country. We’ll arrive at Amboseli in the late morning and relax until our late afternoon game viewing drive.
Game viewing here is leisurely, with animals easily visible against the scenic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. If the clouds clear, the snow-peaked mountain offers a breathtaking photo opportunity.
Day 3: Amboseli – Nairobi (250 km, Approx. 4 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
Once again, we rise early. The sunrise and emergence of Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak—weather permitting—is a spectacular sight.
After breakfast, we will exit Amboseli with a final game spotting drive as we head toward Nairobi.
