Safari Experience

Note: If you prefer instead, you can continue your last mile journey from Tsavo East to Mombasa by safari vehicle.

Nairobi – Amboseli & Tsavo East – Kenya Coast
Adventure In The Wild Safaris offers you a 3-day journey from Nairobi through Amboseli and Tsavo East National Parks, ending at the beautiful Kenya coast beach resorts.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park (250km – approx. 3.5 hours)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
0700 hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel, Nairobi airport, or residence.

Adventure In The Wild Safaris will pick you up at 7:00 am to begin your journey on the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway. We’ll traverse the rich African countryside teeming with small farms and punctuated with the bright colors of Maasai herders along the way.
Day 2: Tsavo East
We’ll head out early for another game drive. This will be an ideal time to view Kilimanjaro. If the clouds cooperate, you’ll see the snowy peak of the tallest mountain in Africa.
While at Amboseli, if you choose, you can enjoy an optional visit to a nearby Maasai Village, where you can meet these indigenous people and learn about their culture. There will be opportunities to purchase handcrafted jewelry as well.
Then we’re off to the second park of your holiday – Tsavo East. We’ll use this time well since our trip to Tsavo will also be a game drive!
Arriving at our second lodge, we’ll freshen up and enjoy lunch. Then we’ll head out on the park’s grasslands to “catch” more wildlife. You may see black rhino, Cape buffalo, leopard and lion.
There’s a good chance you’ll be treated to the sight of Tsavo’s famous red-dust elephants, coated red by the dust baths they take in the brick-red earth.
Day 3: Tsavo East – Kenya Coast Beach Resorts
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch
As promised, we’ll be up early for a pre-breakfast game drive to watch the park’s many wild inhabitants arise for the day.
Breakfast is followed by another safari, and we may visit Aruba Dam, an active watering hole attracting great numbers of wildlife.
And then it’s time to leave the park. The train station at Voi is close-by. There your guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast.
Your first-class ticket is included with the tour, so enjoy the comfort of your air-conditioned compartment as you travel through sections of Tsavo East. The train route is positioned higher than the roadway and offers an elevated view. With its large windows, you’ll enjoy wonderful vistas of the passing landscapes.
There’s also a buffet car for drinks and snacks, and clean restrooms for your convenience. In a little less than two hours you’ll arrive at the state-of-the-art train station in Mombasa.
Transfer to your hotel or resort is also included – we’ll bring you to your local accommodation in Malindi, Watamu, Diani, Mombasa or Kilifi beach.
