Day 1:

Journey from Mombasa to Nairobi and then to Masai Mara. The trip takes 265 km and takes about 5½ hours with stops.

In order to join our safari vehicles, you must first take a trip from Mombasa to Nairobi in the morning. From there, you can drive or take the train to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Samburu in Kenya.

We will be picked up at our hotels on the coast and taken to Moi Airport in Mombasa.
0600 hours: Take a one-hour trip on Kenya Airways to Nairobi.
0700 hours: When you get to Nairobi, our safari driver guide and safari minivan will be waiting for you.

It’s okay to make a short stop for breakfast.

While we’re on the way to the Masai Mara, we see fields of coffee, tea, and food crops that people grow for survival.

Along the way, there will be stops to enjoy the Great Rift Valley cliffs and other beautiful sights.

We will go through Masai land and stop for lunch on the way. In the afternoon, we will arrive at the Masai Mara lodge or tented camp.

Day 2:

THE MASAI MARA

Extravaganza for watching games!

No matter what experts say, the Masai Mara ecosystem is still the world’s most exciting place to see wildlife. With more wild animals per square kilometer than any other park in the area, the reserve is home to the most wildlife. Simply put, the Mara is a place where you can do everything you need to do to see animals.

We drive all over the reserve on game drives where we can see the “big five” and other kinds of less common animals.

We’ll either eat lunch on a walk or at base.

Day 3:

MASAI MARA to LAKE NAKURU (280 km, 5 hours)

It’s the last day at the Masai Mara.

We’ll leave early to see the sunrise and the first shooters and goats.

We go back to our base to eat breakfast.

We’ll be back for an early lunch after a drive in the middle of the morning to wrap up. After leaving Masai Mara, we head to Lake Nakuru.

We’ll take a break to see Lake Naivasha and Elmenteita. We got to Lake Nakuru in the late afternoon. If there is time, a short drive around the lake will be done.

Day 4:

LAKE NAKURU to SAMBURU (340 km, 5 hours)

We start with food early. For birdwatchers and game viewers, today is a great day.

A lot of flamingos will be on the shallow sides of the lake, and you will also be able to see pelicans and many other kinds of birds.

The black and white rhinos live in the park next door, along with warthogs, antelopes, baboons, and many other animal types.
The drive to the Samburu game reserve will be the most beautiful and exciting part of our trip.

Along the Rift Valley, through the highlands, and into the dry parts of northern Kenya.

Along the way, there will be a stop for lunch.

You will get to Samburu in the late afternoon.

Day 5:

GAME RESERVE IN SAMBURU

I spent the day with the Samburu.

We will start the day with a drive to see wildlife before breakfast. We will then return to our base for breakfast.

Most of our drives will be along the Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows through this mostly dry park and keeps it alive.

We will look for many animals, such as the oryx, the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy’s zebra, and more.
