7-Day Combined Kenya / Tanzania Safari Visiting Amboseli, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro
From / To Nairobi
Starts Nairobi / Ends Nairobi – We’ll pick you up from the airport or your hotel.
Enjoy this amazing safari in a customized pop-up roof 4×4 Safari Jeep that includes: Cooler Box, long-range high-frequency radio, Power Outlets AC 230V, First Aid Kit, and above all, a professional multi-lingual safari guide who will ensure you have an unforgettable safari experience.
On this cross-border safari you’ll travel to the immersive national parks of Kenya and Tanzania – each with its own unique look, wildlife, and landscape. Amboseli Park is known as the best spot to get up close to free-ranging elephants. Lake Manyara astounds with its millions of pink flamingos.
Perhaps most unique is Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is a world unto itself, with its own ecosystem and thousands upon thousands of varied wildlife.
Your safari begins in Nairobi and crosses the open plain toward Amboseli National Park. On the way, you’ll view small farms and villages with the Maasai herding their cattle. Amboseli Park features fabulous views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The vegetation is light here so it’s easy to view the lion, Cape buffalo, impala, cheetah, and many more that populate this plain.
From there you’ll cross the border into Tanzania and have lunch in the town of Arusha. Then onto Lake Manyara National Park to explore its vast herds of pelicans and infinite coloration of flamingos inhabiting the lake area. Other highlights of this rich game park are its unique tree-climbing lions and huge troops of baboon.
As we head for the Serengeti, we’ll visit sites at Olduvai Gorge. The geology here provides glimpses of the fossilised remnants of early man. The gorge is perhaps the most important anthropological site in the world.
Everything about Serengeti National Park is epic – its unimaginable stretch of grasslands, its millions of wildebeests, and its massive population of lion, believed to be the largest in Africa. You’ll find all the large predators here as well as hyena, wolf, honey badger, baboon, and monkey. The images of the Serengeti are indelible and will perhaps stay with you as the most treasured of your safari memories.
Next, we descend an extinct volcano at Ngorongoro Crater. This is an immense, extinct caldera known for its protected wildlife ecosystem. Arriving on the crater floor you’ll find yourself in a vast environment abounding with large animals including rhino, buffalo, hippo, zebra, eland, and of course lion.
Adding to this very full experience will be your ascent back up the crater rim to view the stunning sunset.
This safari holiday is one full week with enough sightings and memories to last a very long time.
