7 Day Amboseli, Lakes Naivasha & Nakuru, Masai Mara Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli (240 km: Approx. 4 hrs)
Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner
0730hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi airport / Nairobi hotel. Depart for the Kenya safari tour. The morning drive shall take us via the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Full day of game viewing drives. Early morning game drive followed by breakfast and a mid-morning drive. After a comfortable lunch, set out on an afternoon game drive. Relax at your lodge or camp between drives. Your safari vehicle and driver/guide remain at your disposal for additional game viewing.
Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha (340 km: Approx. 6 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Proceed to Lake Naivasha at the floors of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon boat safari on Lake Naivasha to view hippos and exotic birdlife. Later, enjoy a guided walking safari at Crescent Island.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru (70 km: 2 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
(Optional: visit Lake Bogoria for flamingo viewing) Hire bikes and cycle to nearby Hell’s Gate National Park, exploring the canyon on foot and spotting small game. Later, a short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. See flamingoes in their thousands, pelicans, and other bird species. Lake Nakuru is home to black and white rhinos, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and more.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara (300 km: 6 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Early morning game drive as you exit Lake Nakuru National Park. Proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive and enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive.
Day 6: Full Day – Masai Mara
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Enjoy unlimited game viewing. Masai Mara Game Reserve has the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals in the region. Explore tree-studded savannah plains, encounter the Big Five and other smaller game. Visit the Mara River to see hippos, crocodiles, or the Great Migration (July–October).
Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi (265 km: 5 hrs)
Meal Plan: Breakfast
After a leisurely breakfast, check out and proceed to Nairobi. En route, view the Longonot extinct volcano, located southeast of Lake Naivasha. Optional detours via Naivasha for lunch/excursions or visit Kiambethu farm for a tea farm tour with a three-course buffet lunch at an extra cost. Return to Nairobi and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure.
