Your 9-day Tsavo East/Tsavo West/Amboseli/Lake Naivasha/Lake Nakuru/Masai Mara safari includes all transportation, park entrance fees, game drives, accommodations, and meals. Safari accommodations can be economy, comfort, or luxury lodges or tented camps, without compromising safari quality.

Your Guide

Throughout your 9-day safari, you’ll be hosted and guided by an experienced driver/guide. Transportation is in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep, the safari standard with higher seating and rugged all-wheel drive.

1 Day at Tsavo East National Park

Game viewing drives. See dust-red elephants browsing, and visit the beautiful man-made Aruba Dam, a hotspot for wildlife.

1 Day at Tsavo West National Park

Explore scenic hills and valleys, Mzima Springs with crocodiles, hippos, exotic fish, and migratory birds. Witness lava flows, recent volcanoes, and Africa’s limitless wilderness.

2 Days at Amboseli National Park

Observe large elephant herds, snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro (weather permitting), and scenic Observation Hill.

1 Day at Lake Naivasha

Boat safari and visit to Hell’s Gate. Guided walking safari at Crescent Island. Bird watching including flamingoes, pelicans, and others (seasonal).

1 Day at Lake Nakuru National Park

Hundreds of bird species including flamingoes and pelicans, rhino sanctuary, and the Great Rift Valley escarpment with breathtaking scenery.

2 Nights / 2 Days at Masai Mara Game Reserve

Unlimited game viewing drives. Explore tree-studded savannahs with a multitude of wildlife and vibrant Maasai tribesmen. Optional Maasai village visit ($25 per person) or hot air balloon ride ($460 per person).

Day 1: Kenya Coast – Tsavo East (120 km – Approx. 3 hrs)

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Your driver/guide will pick you up early from your Kenya coast beach resort or hotel in a 4 x 4 Jeep, including Mombasa, Tiwi, Kilifi, Watamu, Diani, and Malindi. We’ll head out on the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway, also known as the Early Explorer’s route to Tsavo East National Park. (Small route variations apply from Malindi/Watamu resorts.)

Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West (80 km – Approx. 1.5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Wake early for a morning game drive in Tsavo East as animals emerge from the night. After breakfast, drive to Tsavo West National Park. Enjoy scenic hills, ancient baobabs, volcanic lava beds, and view the Big Five plus giraffe, impala, and gerenuk. Visit the protected rhino sanctuary, home to over 80 endangered rhinos.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli (100 km – Approx. 2 hrs)

Early morning game drive at Tsavo West. Explore the lush Mzima Springs, home to hippo, crocodile, exotic fish, and birds. Drive to Amboseli with spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Relax at your lodge and take an afternoon game drive with unforgettable photo opportunities of Kilimanjaro’s snowy summit.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy game drives throughout the day. Early morning and mid-morning drives are ideal for spotting lion, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and especially the massive herds of elephants. Sparse foliage makes wildlife spotting easier, ensuring amazing safari experiences.

Day 5: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha (340 km – Approx. 6 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning game drive before departing for the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha. Enjoy lunch and an afternoon boat safari, gliding past hippos and rich birdlife, with wildlife grazing nearby. Take a guided walking safari at Crescent Island Sanctuary to see zebra, impala, buffalo, and giraffe.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru (80 km – Approx. 1.5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Optional: Lake Bogoria visit instead for larger flamingo flocks. Start with an early morning bicycle safari at Hell’s Gate National Park, admiring dramatic gorges and grazing wildlife. Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to acacia forests, wooded hills, flamingoes, pelicans, kingfishers, and big game like lion, leopard, warthog, giraffe, monkey, and baboon.

Day 7: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara (285 km – Approx. 5.5 hrs)

Early morning game drive at Lake Nakuru before traveling to the Masai Mara. Arrive for an afternoon game drive across rolling hills, golden plains, and iconic acacia trees, immersing yourself in this abundant wildlife reserve.

Day 8: Full Day – Masai Mara

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy unlimited game drives and witness the Big Five, especially lions. During the Great Migration (July–October), watch thousands of gazelle, zebra, and wildebeest cross the Mara River with predators lying in wait. Optional activities include visiting Maasai villages or an early morning hot air balloon safari over the park.

Day 9: Masai Mara – Nairobi (265 km – Approx. 5 hrs)

Meal Plan: Breakfast

After breakfast, drive to Nairobi with your guide pointing out the Longonot extinct volcano. Optional stop at Naivasha for lunch/excursions, or Kiambethu Tea Farm tour with a three-course lunch at extra cost. Continue to Nairobi for hotel drop-off or transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure.
